“Deny description” is new to me. I often hear “beyond description” in this case.
I was wondering about what the difference between these phrases.
Deny and beyond are far different meaning but to follow the same word, “description”

I would say that they pretty much have the same meaning. Although it is “defy description”, not “deny description”. You can also say “beggar description”, which also has pretty much the same meaning.
