日本の顔文字と違って、欧米の顔文字は左から右へ書いてあります。僕は日本の顔文字が好きです。欧米の顔文字を見る時には、首を少し傾げないといけないからです。でも、外国人の友達にメールを送る時には、以下の一覧の顔文字が役に立つと思います。
ちなみに、顔文字は英語で「emoticon」と言います。これは、「emotion – 感情」と「icon – アイコン」が一緒になった言葉です。「smiley」という英語もよく使われています。
