  • ‘Confirm’ has 2 primary meaning as verb.
First of all, it’s ‘ To make certain ‘=’ To make an arragement ‘=’ To make sure an arrangement ‘.
It’s purposes are plans or something will happen .
    For example,
‘ I’d like to confirm my flight’s schedule
    before departure.’
In this case,’confirm’ is similar to ‘ review ‘.
Because,I have already taken a ticket.
But,I’d like to make certain that no change of the fligt schedule compared to written schedule on my ticket previously .
    Additionally,’Confirm’ has another meaning.
It is ‘ To prove true ‘=’ To say or show that something is true ‘.
It’s purpose is ‘ a belief or an opinion that was previously not completely certain ‘.
If something has already be certain ,it is not required to prove true.
So,it is like the meaning below.
‘ I’d like to confirm that something you provide us is true before effective as it is .’
Then, when I reply that ‘ I confirm it.’ or press ‘ Confirm ‘ button,it refers to have an arrangement between us completely.
